Tech Lab Case Manager
The Tech Lab Case Manager
is responsible for providing comprehensive case management services to participants enrolled in the YW Tech Lab program. This position will dedicate 100% of its time to supporting participants through educational and career development pathways by conducting assessments, creating individualized plans, identifying barriers to success, and connecting participants with resources and opportunities.
The Tech lab Case Manager
will work closely with participants, program staff, and community partners to promote successful program completion, career readiness, and employment outcomes. This role also plays a key part in developing internship opportunities and supporting participant recruitment efforts.
Pay Rate:$23.64 per hour
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive participant intakes to assess career readiness, existing skills, educational needs, and barriers to program completion.
- Evaluate participants' educational levels, abilities, and interests through interviews, assessments, records review, and other professional resources.
- Develop individualized education and employment plans that support participant goals and program success.
- Provide crisis intervention and support when participants encounter personal or program-related challenges.
- Collaborate with the Tech Lab Coordinator to review participant progress, address behavioral and academic concerns, and determine resource needs.
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain internship opportunities through partnerships with local employers and community organizations.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential participant records and case documentation.
- Conduct follow-up interviews and assessments to evaluate participant outcomes and ensure needs have been met.
- Facilitate career readiness development by providing guidance on job search strategies, employment applications, resume writing, interviewing skills, and workplace soft skills.
- Prepare reports and documentation on participant activities and program outcomes as required.
- Recruit prospective Tech Lab participants by monitoring online inquiries and representing the program at job fairs, workforce events, and community outreach activities.
- Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or a minimum of two (2) years of related case management experience required.
- Experience working with workforce development, educational programs, social services, or similar populations is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and database management.
- Ability to build positive relationships with participants, employers, community partners, and colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.

- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, and perform routine office and program-related activities.
- Valid Illinois driver's license.
- Current automobile insurance coverage.
