Our client, a local Dept of Defense supplier, is in need of two Sourcing Experts to work on a 6-month project. The Sourcing Expert is responsible for processing and completing material requests by working with various associates in an existing supply chain and identifying new suppliers.
Hours: 8am to 5pm, Mon-Fri
Pay:$21.00/hour
Sourcing Expert Responsibilities:
- Research and source items to fulfill customer requests
- Gain understanding of products, commodities, and contract scope
- Partner with other personnel to answer questions, address concerns and resolve issues
- Negotiate and establish pricing, and terms and conditions
- Build relationships with suppliers
- Assist in resolution of trouble tickets
Sourcing Expert Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in procurement or supply chain helpful
- Strong computer skills – accuracy needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous and highly organized
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrate strong initiative
- Team player
