FurstStaffing is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to support industrial operations in Southern Wisconsin. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm plus overtime Pay: $27/hour (DOE)
What You’ll Do:
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial refrigeration systems
- Replace components following safe LOTO procedures and PSM standards
- Pump out and evacuate refrigerant for repairs and valve replacements
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintain accurate records in Oracle CMMS
- Test, calibrate, and evaluate HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and specifications
- Diagnose issues down to the component level and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain a clean, organized (6S) workspace
- Conduct safety equipment testing to ensure OSHA compliance
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of Industrial Refrigeration experience
OR 3+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience plus industry certification (RETA, Garden City, EPA Universal, etc.)
- Experience troubleshooting control systems (Allen Bradley, ALTA, etc.)
- Willingness to complete required refrigeration training
- HAZMAT certification or ability to obtain and maintain
- Cold storage environment experience
- Ammonia refrigeration maintenance experience
- CARO or CIRO certification
- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to mentor less experienced technicians
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F and in varying outdoor conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Strong close, distance, color, and depth vision (no contact lenses when working with ammonia)
