Job Description

Milk Intake Operator (2nd Shift)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays
Pay Rate:$21.50/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential
Total Compensation:$22.50/hour

Position Summary
The Milk Intake Operator is responsible for controlling, monitoring, testing, and communicating all milk and whey flow throughout the plant to support efficient production operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, ensuring sanitary conditions, and supporting overall plant performance.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Control and communicate liquid product flows with all plant departments and external vendors as required.
  • Obtain required product samples and perform testing according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Monitor and maintain plant intake equipment to ensure proper operation and sanitary conditions.
  • Support plant audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
  • Accurately document operational and testing information.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and food safety procedures.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Previous Intake Operator experience preferred.
  • Ability to read gauges, meters, and thermometers accurately.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to visually evaluate color-change test strips and other testing indicators.
  • Experience operating computer-controlled equipment and systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform the physical duties associated with plant intake operations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs and work throughout the production facility.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Work Environment
This position operates within a food manufacturing environment and requires adherence to all plant safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
