Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Industrial Electrician maintains the quality and integrity of high-speed packaging and end-of-line automation equipment to ensure good safe condition and operating order.
  • Perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on electrical and mechanical systems involving production equipment.
  • Provides technical support and hands-on guidance to supervisors and production department resources as required.
  • Supports safety, continuous improvement, and other lean manufacturing projects.
  • Maintains and performs preventive inspections and maintenance on plant production and support equipment as assigned.
  • Troubleshoots electrical systems and performs electrical repairs on automated equipment.
  • Tests, installs and repairs plant equipment and machinery.
  • Performs basic mechanical work as required.
  • Documents work performed in an SAP Maintenance System and communicates work activities to peers and Leaders Daily.
  • Uses Software and a laptop computer to interface and troubleshoot AB / Rockwell PLCs, inverter (VFD) drives and servo systems.
  • Routinely works with 24Vdc control voltage and 480Vac Power.
  • Observes all compliance practices and procedures in performance of duties.
  • Follows compliance processes such as - Good Manufacturing Practices. (GMP), Food Safety / Food Defense, Health & Safety and Environmental, LOTO and Arc Flash.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as instructed.
  • Trains other Maintenance and Operations staff as needed to improve machine productivity.

WHAT WE NEED FRO YOU:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Prior Industrial Electrical Experience
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to work overtime hours, above your normal schedule, to meet customers' demands.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem analysis skills.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)- Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Uniform, Hairnet, Beard net, and Mask when required.
  • Occasionally exposed to dusty conditions due to the handling of bulk products. The employee must be able to wear and use breathing protection devices as required while working in these conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Ability to talk, hear, and smell.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally push/pull 350-pound carts with wheels.
  • Â Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
  • Employees must be flexible in learning and working in other job functions to ensure a competent, trained workforce.
