This position reports directly to the CFO. There is a team reporting to this position.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Controller is a key finance leader responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role ensures the integrity of financial information, supports strategic initiatives, and helps scale accounting processes to support business growth.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, proven people leadership, and the ability to partner closely with the CFO and cross-functional leaders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting & Close Management
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial results
- Prepare, review, and analyze GAAP and IFRS compliant financial statements and supporting schedules
- Ensure consistent application of accounting policies and judgments across the organization
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including the general ledger, revenue recognition, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, etc.
- Review complex accounting transactions
- Maintain a strong control environment across all accounting processes
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, statutory, and regulatory requirements
- Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors and coordinate audit activities
- Support tax compliance efforts in partnership with external tax advisors
- Identify, assess, and mitigate accounting and reporting risks
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team; promote accountability and professional growth
- Assist with hiring, performance management, and succession planning
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture within the finance organization
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls
- Partner on ERP implementations, system enhancements, and reporting automation
- Support accounting integration for acquisitions, divestitures, or reorganizations
- Partner with the CFO on financial decision-making and strategic initiatives
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Collaborate with FP&A, operations, legal, HR, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting issues
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA
- 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people leadership
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and internal controls
- Experience managing audits and complex accounting topics
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP
- Experience in multi-entity or multi-location organizations
- ERP implementation or optimization experience (SAP)

- Salary commensurate with experience $145,000-185,000 salary/year
