We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receiving & Quality Assurance (QA) Assistant to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for accurately receiving and documenting incoming materials, verifying shipments, maintaining inventory records, and supporting the Quality Department through inspections, audits, and laboratory testing. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
Pay:
- $17.00 per hour(Temporary)
- $20.00 per hour upon successful transition to permanent employment
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Temp-to-Hire
Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies to the Receiving/Banbury Supervisor.
- Enter received goods into the computerized inventory system accurately.
- Deliver materials to the appropriate department or warehouse storage location.
- Perform daily inventory spot checks and reconcile inventory records with physical counts.
- Report receiving issues to the Receiving Supervisor and RSP Manager.
- Support Quality Technicians and Lab Technicians with inspections, audits, and testing.
- Conduct audits within the Receiving and Stock Preparation departments.
- Provide laboratory support and relief coverage for the Lab Technician as needed.
- Process Certificates of Analysis (COAs) as received.
- Complete QA shift reports and communicate quality concerns to the Quality Manager, Plant Manager, Quality Team, and Supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of receiving and/or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); experience with AS400 is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work primarily within a manufacturing plant environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
