CNC OD Grinder – Machinist Class A
Our busy client is seeking an experienced CNC OD Grinder
to join their 2nd shift. This is a Furst-to-Hire opportunity; however, the company would consider Direct Hire. In this role you will work with very small parts, no heavy lifting involved. Must have the knowledge to program and set up Fanuc controls. The CNC OD Grinder
will perform quality inspections of their work and make adjustments as needed. Lots of overtime!!
Hours:
3:30pm to 11:30pm – with OT, typically 10-12 hour days
Pay:$20-30/hour DOE
CNC OD Grinder Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, drills, hob shapers and other machines/equipment as assigned
- Assist in the training of operators in the safe use of manufacturing equipment
- Perform first piece sample verification of work done by others
- Interpret and offer suggestions of improvement to new and existing processes
- Make necessary adjustments to equipment/tooling to attain required dimensions and finishes
- Maintain correct time reporting and accurate entries on manufacturing and inspection records
- Follow TPM requirements as required and maintains overall good housekeeping practices
- Complies with company quality and safety requirements
CNC OD Grinder Requirements:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong utilization of basic math and geometry
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of a wide variety of inspection equipment and techniques
